Mary Hall Obituary

Mary Alice Hall (aka "Tete"), 62, departed this life on Friday, March 11, 2022.

She was born on November 15, 1959 in Pontotoc, MS, the daughter of James Pruitt Berry and Emma Jean Berry, who  preceded her in death.

Mary moved to Springfield, IL in 1961.  She attended Springfield Southeast High School, where she graduated in 1977.

Mary moved to Birmingham, AL in 1987, where she worked in the retail business for over 40 years.  Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Tabernacle of Praise Ministries, a church that she loved very much.

Mary had a passion for shopping and good food.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas.  She enjoyed spoiling her loved ones with elaborately wrapped gifts.  She was a very loving and giving person and will be truly missed.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories:  her husband, the love of her life, Byron D. Hall, whom she met in 1994.  Two sisters, Jenell Horton (Chester Horton), Donell McCurdy (Centron McCurdy), both of Birmingham, AL; one brother, James Berry (Stephanie Berry) of Harrison, TN and a “Bonus Sister”, Beth Harris (Michael Harris) of Helena, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and an abundance of relatives and friends.
