Jesse Michael Jones

Jesse Michael Jones passed in peace at his home in Leeds, AL at the age of 43. He was born to Mary Anne Hughins and Jerry Jones on May 10, 1978. He met the love of his life, Christy, and they were married on March 18, 2006. To this union, two children were born: son, Jack Mason, 11, and daughter, Jane Grace, 7. Jesse is a beloved husband and father who dedicated much of his life volunteering in the Leeds community with recreational sports including, baseball, softball, and basketball. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1996-1999 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Juanita Jones, aunt, Jennifer Teer,; and cousin, Diana Hunter. Jesse will be fondly remembered by friends and family for his contagious smile and the way he shined God's love and light with everyone he met. His memories will forever linger in the hearts of his wife, Christy, Jack and Jane (Children), Mary Anne and Jerry Jones (Parents); Dale Jones (Brother), Janel & Brad Challiss (Sister & Brother-in-law), Ricky Smith (Father-in-law), Brett & Gina Gentry (Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law), Scotty & Ginny Jarrell (Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law), Ricky & Jeni Smith (Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law), and many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". John 3:16. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM at World Victory Church (615 Park Ave Moody, AL 35004).
