Bobby Jerome Birdwell, better known as Bob, a Vietnam Veterran, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife of 48 years on March 15, 2025
Left to cherish the many memories of their father, include his loving wife and their 5 children: Ginger Street, Kelly Rochester, Tracy White, Troy (Karen) Rochester, and Melissa (Jack) Brown. 3 sisters: Judy Birdwell, Della (Jeff) Hauge, and Laura (Duane) Terpo. 2 brothers: Jerry Birdwell and Charlie. 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Bob loved being around his family and spending time with them. Every year, he would gather the family together for the annual Weenie Roast where they would congregate by the fire, cooking up their weenies and eating smores. He loved the Alabama football team and wore their team colors proudly, he had all things Alabama, from his head to his toes! He loved going to Panama City Beach and walking on the beach hand in hand with his loving wife.
A Remembrance of Life memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 2:00 pm til 4:00 pm at the Senior Lodge (Chelsea Senior Citizen Center) at 708 Co Road 36 Chelsea, Alabama 35043.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to make donations to The Humane Society of Shelby County.
