Dr. Martha "June" Jackson Rutledge was born on June 25, 1960 in Birmingham, AL to the late Butler Jackson, Jr. and the Reverend Alfreda Kelly Jackson. She served as an educator for the Birmingham Public Schools for 15 years and for Clayton County Public Schools in Riverdale, GA for 16 years. Public viewing for Dr. Rutledge will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4-6pm at Metropolitan AME Zion Church located at 1535 4th Av N, Birmingham, AL 35203. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12pm at Metropolitan AME Zion Church. The body will lie in state from 11-12pm at the church. The Celebration Service will be rendered by Weatherly-STUDDARD Memorial Funeral Home of Butler, AL.
