Helen (Nanny) Barnett, of Birmingham, AL., went from labor to reward on April 24, 2017. Born in North Carolina to parentage of Gregory and Annie Mae Cockrell Wallins. Her last job was waitressing at John's Restaurant downtown. She was preceded in death by both parents and her daughter, Ann Barnett Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Frank) Antonio; son, Tommy Barnett; grandson, Michael (Veronica) Antonio; special friend, Evelyn; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday, April 29, 2017 with services celebrating her life starting at 12:00 noon at Crestway Baptist Church (6400 Crestwood Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35212). Nanny touched so many lives in  her 101 years that God blessed her with. If you were fortunate to know her, you knew her spunk, her crazy antics, her storytelling, her smile, and her love of life. She was one in a million and those who were around her loved her dearly. She is now celebrating with Jesus and will be missed by all.
