Alfonza "Tez" Montez Thompson

Alfonza Montez "Tez" Thompson, a resident of  Birmingham, AL., entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2018. "Tez" as he was affectionately called, was educated in the Birmingham City schools, graduating from A.H. Parker High School class of 2012. He went on to major in criminal justice at Miles College, graduating class of 2017. He was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi (Delta Tau Chapter) which he joined during his tenure at Miles.

His father, Maurice Thompson, Sr. and his brother, Adarius Jayshun Thompson preceded him in death. Left to cherish precious memories are: his son, Amir Thompson; loving mother, Pamela Weaver; brothers: Antonio Weaver, Maurice Thompson, and Deon Thompson; sister, Ashley Peterson; girlfriend, Tierra Lang; special best friend, Aleisha Lewis; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Bushelon Funeral Home (800 14th Street SW). Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church (7400 London Ave.) with burial in Oakland Memorial Gardens.
